Fortnite
Credit: Epic GamesWeâre secret agents this season in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Weâre not great at the whole stealth thing, what with the hopping around, summoning towers out of mid air and dancing like thereâs no tomorrow, but we at least have the opportunity to do some cool spy stuff. The challenges, so far, mostly revolve around that kind of thing, asking us to use some new mechanics and items dropped around the map. One of this weekâs might be confusing if you donât know what it is, but itâs super easy. Hereâs how to hide in secret passages in different matches.
When I first saw this challenge I assumed it had something to do with those air ducts that are scattered throughout the new bases: they seem like secret passages, at least, and they do the job of them.
As it turns out, itâs not that. Secret passages are those magical teleporting porta-potties that we started finding in Week 1. Theyâre located scattered around the map near the five new locations: the Shark, the Rig, the Yacht, the Grotto, and the Agency. They look like this:

Youâll see a little tunnel animation play and it will spit you back out someplace on the map. These can be handy if youâre pinned down and trying to escape, and theyâre also great for heading back to the main map in a jiff: thereâs one located in each locationâs secret vault, so you can use that to grab your loot and head back to the island to make mayhem.
Iâve never been a huge fan of the âdifferent matchesâ challenges, because they always seem like ways to artificially stretch out the experience. I prefer to hop around the map trying to complete as much as I can of any given challenge, but these donât really allow me to do that. Anyways, this is by no means the hardest challenge in this weekâs set, but it should allow you to play around with a fun new system.
