Fortnite Season 11 Start Date - New Island, Battle Pass - Everything We Know

Fortnite Season 11 already has a potential start date, and it hasn't even been formally announced by Epic yet. In this guide compiling everything we know about the upcoming seasonal event so far, we'll be covering the Fortnite Season 11 start date, all clues pointing towards the new Fortnite island map, and more.

As we mentioned above, we've only got clues to go on surrounding a potential start date for the next Fortnite season. According to a PlayStation event listing for Season 10 (or X), the end date for the current season is October 6, which means the Fortnite Season 11 start date could potentially be October 7.

But recently with seasonal events in Fortnite, Epic has trended towards putting gaps between seasonal events, which are filled by new Limited Time Modes with a bunch of challenges. These typically last for two weeks, but if Epic was to postpone the launch of Fortnite Season 11 by three weeks with smaller modes, then it'd be launching almost alongside Halloween…

Fortnite Season 11 Battle Pass

Every Fortnite seasonal event has had two ways of purchasing the Battle Pass for the corresponding season, and Season 11 should be no different. When Season 11 does launch in Fortnite Battle Royale, you can expect there to be two purchase models for the Battle Pass, both of which we've outlined just below:

  • Base Battle Pass - Costing 950 V-Bucks, this model unlocks the Battle Pass and all 100 reward tiers.
  • Upgraded Battle Pass - At 2,800 V-Bucks, this upgraded model unlocks the Battle Pass and all 100 reward tiers, and immediately grants you rewards from tiers 1 to 25.
  • Fortnite Season 11 New Island Map

With each new Fortnite Battle Royale season, there are tweaks to the existing (and only) map in the game. These tweaks come in the form of introducing new biomes on the existing map, for example Mega Mall was introduced as a new location for the launch of Fortnite Season 9 earlier this year.

But, there's some evidence to suggest Fortnite Season 11 will do away with this, and introduce an entirely new map from scratch. Below, you can see a leaked loading screen from Fortnite v10.40, with the title for the image reading "last stop, thank you, bus driver," with the bus driver in question being the unknown being that drives the battle bus at the beginning of a match.

This certainly seems to point to an entirely new map being introduced for Fortnite Season 11. Further evidence comes from the apparent data mined list of new location names being introduced in Season 11 just below. That certainly looks like more than the two/three new locations per season that we've become accustomed to. Enough to fill an entirely new island with?
